Playdate With Maria

What a great weekend we had. Abby got to play with her friend Maria and Mommy got to hang out with Maria's Mommy. I love watch Abby play with kids. Maria is 8 and is so patient and kind with Abby. Abs got one of those ball bouncer house thingys this weekend and it is fun. Hours of enjoyment for Abby just pouring the balls over her. She loved it. Her biting is getting better...Hopefully that was just a phaze. She's still not eating fruit...but loves her veggies. Any ideas on how I can get some fruit down into her tummy? All the pretty colors of fruits and nothing. She does love baby food fruit deserts so I give her that and fruit yogurt. Abby will be 18 months already on August 1st. I can't believe it!

Big Boo Boo!

Abs fell over the weekend on our cement in our back yard...She was bleeding. At first we thought maybe her nose was bleeding, but it turned out to be a brush burn. Plus she had a runny nose.So you know the crusities and the brush burn doesn't make easy for wiping. Our little thing also falls and trips on her toys or her feet and falls into the table legs and hits her head in the same spot. Big goose egg. We were at a friends' picnic over the weekend and Abby did so good with the big kids. She kept right up with all of them. Our life is so fun...what a joy!

Biting Solutions

HELP! HELP! Abs is biting. Well she's biting us and she thinks it's funny. She's not biting kids at her school or the teachers...so that's a good thing. I've been reading up on it and I've read she's the toddler age where they do it. It could be out of frustration or anger..But she never looks angry..She just smiles. HELP! Any suggestions...maybe your kids did this...She's not an evil kid...email me PLEASE sue@wobm.com .....Thanks for any help with this. Mommies and Daddies unite together!

Abby's Good Sneakers

So ok I did it...I bought Abs her first pair of Stride Rite sneakers. Here's the deal---I hear alot of different things from different doctors...buy the good sneakers or don't buy the good sneakers. Abs little left foot is turning in a little bit. What to do? Is she pigeon toed or will it be something that will clear up? Our pediatrician said Stride Rite sneakers are the best thing for her feet so I bought them. Now it could be the wad with her diaper that's making her foot go in. But when she's naked and running around her foot still goes in. We'll see. All these little exciting things. So many more to look forward to. Tomorrow Mommy has a day off we're heading to the beach. I love watching her on the beach watch everybody else. Peanut butter---she loves it sooooo much...who knew? Great! easy peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.

Hi Bloggers. Oh my it's been a while since I've written. So busy when Shawn's away. Alot has happened over the last week or so. As I mentioned on the air Abs had Coxsackie Virus. Apparently it's a common virus in kids in the summer. She had a fever that just kept spiking high then would drop---then spike again. Scary for an anal Mom. So her doctor says "Coxsackie" to me....At first I got scared--what the heck is that? These BIG words. Then I went home and searched it and found out it's hand, feet and mouth virus that kids get from other kids. Still scary and gross....instantly I thought of hoof and mouth disease like dogs...AND it's sort of like that. Anyway, she is doing great now. There is no medication for it, just infant Tylenol or Motrin...they're very handy and work well with fevers and sore teeth.

Abby can move and move and move and move so fast now. We turn around for a minute and she's out of the room playing hide-n-seek with us around the table. Her speaking is amazing too; we say words and she just repeats it. We need to start being careful I guess now. Moms, you've warned me of this. Her beautiful little feet are growing so fast...already in a 5...In a month she grew from a 3 to a 5. I had to get her Crocs...Mommy wears them all them time and she looks so cute in them. Crocs are those rubbery duck shoes...sort of look like they're for working in the garden. So now Mommy and Abs have red ones!:)

On The Way To Cape May

We tool our trip to Cape May and Atlantic City. We had a great time with Poppy and Nanny. Abs loves the beach just like Mommy. Wooooo! it was a hot week though. There's nothing like some good boardwalk pizza and salt water taffy. I love New Jersey and Abs loves it too. We had a cheese burger with mustard on it and Abby didn't like the mustard she gagged. But she did love the pickles. Here's some pictures:
