First Time Chucky Cheese Visit

Well we took Abs to Chucky Cheese's for the first time the other day; great place for air conditioning if it's hot. Wow it was fun! She did pretty good on the big kids games and the tubes and sliding board...great for kids. Tomorrow I'm taking Abs along with Nanny and Poppy to Hershey Park. What a great memory for me as a child. My parents used to take me there growing up every summer so I thought it would be nice to take Abby. Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and Hershey Kisses running around---you can't beat that. Labor Day weekend is coming up real soon. What a fast summer. Back to school shopping --wooo! Not yet for me thank goodness, still second hand clothing--I love it.

Busy Mom's Expo

The Busy Mom's Expo. What a great time on Saturday at the Ocean County Mall! I brought Abs with me and she was running around with a balloon on her arm. Can kids get any cuter? I'll be wondering that when she's 12 and never listens. We're shopping around for furniture and I really want one of those Chaise Chairs---Abs is the best to take shopping. I set her in the chairs and she smiles if she likes it; if there's no response we can't get the chair. 18 months old and she knows softness of chairs. Mommy and Daddy decided it would be cute if she'd run around naked after her bath..we usually carry her from the bathroom to her room, but this time we let her walk there...Yep you guessed it peed all over the floor. How cute????! Alot of Pee???! No poop..yea for that But we did find some chunks of potatoes and sausage in her crib after a night of a belly ache..Sorry I thought I had to share.

Abby's Haircut

I had to share this with you.

I tried cutting Abby's hair last night. And I remember when i was little my Mom would put scotch tape on my bangs to get a straight line. I used to think my Mom was crazy...BUT now I see she's the smartest woman I know. I didn't take pictures of Abby but I should have; the bangs are all over the place! My husband came home and said, "What happened to my little girl's hair?" One good thing: it will grow back hopefully fast. They are so uneven. I told Daddy today to spike it so nobody could see what I did to my little girl. So Funny...Thank goodnes Abs doesn't realize YET that Mommy does mess up sometimes.

Abby The Tantalizer

Abby is such a tantalizer....She was holding one of her friends binkies the other day and she saw he was getting all upset and she just laughed at him. "Oh my," I thought, "Is she a bully?" She gave it to him and then hugged him. Ok she has a wonderful heart. Could she be any cuter? I love it. We're noticing she's putting words together and sentences. Her very own sentences that she and maybe our dog only understands. And....she loves Chocolate...

Salute To "Working Parents School" Teachers

When Abs was first born I was so worried about being a working Mom. We first started out with a nanny that came to the house..then that just got too expensive. UH OH! Now she'll have to be in a daycare...We call it "working parents school". It is the best experience ever for her and for Mommy and Daddy. Yes she did get sick alot when she first started. A lot of germs. But she loves being with kids and the teachers at her school are so wonderful. She learns so much there. I never have to worry when my husband drops her off, I know she's taken care of. So hats off to all daycare teachers and directors! You protect and love our children while we're working and it's a huge responsiblity. "THANK YOU"

Vacation Fun

We had a great time off. We went up to Knoebels in Pennsylvania. It's a FREE amusement park. Well you have to pay for tickets...but just to get in and walk around is FREE and Free parking. Wow! What a great family place to go. We had a really good time. Abs is at that age where she'll go on the little rides. She rode the fire trucks and the old fashioned cars...and we couldn't get her off of the carousel. She loves the horses. Only the ones that go up and down. She brings things to me and Daddy now; I'll say "Bring that towel to Mommy" and she does it. Unbelievable! She's growing too fast. There's nothing stopping her now. And what's happening to her tastebuds? Abby is not a fan of milk the way she was before. Maybe she'll drink one bottle before bed, but that's it. She is a fan of water now--thank goodness. Today: the beach--I love cloudy days at the beach..Fun Fun Fun
