Christmas With Abby

Christmas adventures in our house...runny noses and tissue paper. We had such a great time with our families. Abby loved all the presents. She loves jumping on the presents--- I should say. The presents were in front of her and she'd just start jumping. I think a little overwelming for a 23 month old. We were laughing so hard we had stomach aches.

That wasn't even the most fun part. The fun is just beginning. It was the gift bags
that Abs loved the most.....the tissue paper inside of the bag. She'd start pulling out the paper, it was all over the floor and then she started jumping and crawling
all over the paper. She was like a crazy jumping bean...Jumping and jumping and falling down and more jumping. So I just kept filling up the bags again with the paper and all that jumping started again and again and kept going. She slept so well the other night. And when she opened up her presents she'd say,"WOO..WAY...WOO." So much fun. Then I was thinking she'll never be 23 months old at Christmas ever again. Can we keep reliving it? Thank goodness for cameras and videos. I'll have to show her the video at 13.

When visiting with friends and family everyone was on me hard about her "poop" blog. She'll appreciate that at 13, too. Lots of laughs and warm feelings this holiday season. She makes everything shine so much more. I didn't think cookies could taste any better than they already do but when she helps me with them....there's an even better taste.! I hope you had a great Christmas season. Now let's get ready for New Years and Pigs in a blanket! Oh boy

Christmas Is Almost Here

Christmas is 4 days away. This year is so exciting. Abs still doesn't get it...but her eyes lighting up with sounds and lights instantly puts a smile on me and my husband face. We're heading to Pennsylvania to spend time with Family. My neice and nephews and Abby will be fun to watch. Hopefully with all of the rushing, going to the malls, making the meals and of course just driving here in New Jersey---you'll be able to sit down and enjoy your childens' happy faces and fun with the family.

This time of year we can't forget about our animals either. Watching our dog T open up so good treats is awesome too. And the Popcorn Park Rescue zoo and to all the wonderful workers there with the animals...THANK YOU and Thank you so much for all the listeners that helped out the zoo when they asked for some help. Thank you so much you made some cute animals Christmas a little bit better for them. Thank you for another wonderful year here at WOBM. In so many ways I'm humbled just to come in and talk to you everyday. Have a wonderful Christmas. From Abby and Mommy we love you very much!

The Christmas Present

I found this and thought I'd share with the Abs blog. It says it all: Happiness

The Christmas Present

To see you smile.
To see you laugh.
A confident little wonder.
Our hearts are warm.
The best Christmas present we ever opened was you.

Santa Claus Time

UH OH..Abby cried when she sat on his lap. I've heard and seen pictures when kids visit Santa. She wasn't screaming but she did start to cry. And then she pulled his nose. She was crazy about his nose. She just kept pulling it and laughing. What does that mean. Was she trying to not be scared by pulling his nose? Cry laugh...Cry laugh...then more laughing. But anytime her hair is up in pony-tails I just have to smile. How can I say, "NO"? I know...bad momma.

This toddler age is wacky. I wrote before about biting...now she hits. What's up with that? And once again it's so darn cute the way she hits...so dainty like...but once again we cry when she hits and it seems to work. We say, "Why do you want to hurt or make us cry", she the puts her arms out and wants a hug. Are we just falling into her little toddler web? It's working.

Something new for her taste buds...rice pudding with raisins...she loves it. The faces she gives us, her little movements, her laugh...our house is happy. Although she doesn't leave the dog alone. I think she tries to ride her like a horse. And now everytime we leave the house she says "T Go" anytime we give her something she says, "Give T"! Love at the holidays :)

Poop Update

This is why I love writing about Abs...This is from an annonomous poster on the blog-----(Poor Absters. Eternally known for her bowel movements. I love it! Keep having fun with your precious miracle. I can't wait for a new blog...)----Just in case you were wondering Abby's poop is right where it needs to be. Thanks for writing.

Putting up our tree was so much fun. She could actually hang some balls and candy canes up on the tree. Wow, exciting. And walking through stores with all those singing animals and Christmas things, she just lights up when she sees them. I was wrapping some gifts the other night to put under the tree and she just wanted to tear them open. So I wrapped some Tupperware bowels from our cabinet and she loved it. After she opened it --she just wanted more. So we kept wrapping up the the same bowels. It was funny. I was watching her little hands unwrap the tupperware trying to pull off every piece of tape and thought to myself, we could learn alot from a 23 month old the way she just kept at it and didn't give up. It's a pretty incredible thing.

Bubbles & Phones

Abby's favorite things: Bubbles and the phone!

Abs has had a bad cold since I've written last. In her daycare everybody has the same cough she does. It's a deep scary cough. But it's coming from her throat not her chest so that's a good thing. It there's a light anywhere that's it. She also has an ear infection. She's has to take her antibiotic...But you know toddlers....no way is she taking medicine. So this is what I did--I said, "Abby I'm going to give the medicine to T (our dog)." Now all of a sudden she takes her medicine all the time. I just pretend to give to T and she takes it no problem...Crazy I know. But if it works for Abs it works for me.
