Another Poop Story

Hey there...it's been a while! As you look at this cute picture you think..how could something so smelly come out of this cutie? Well..The other day I stepped out of the living room for 2 seconds and came back and Abby's diaper was off. She was sort of standing behind her toy box...so I couldn't see what was going on. She's at the age where she thinks it's cool to take her own diaper off. She says to me, "Mommy you're going to be so happy ..... I said, " I am always happy with you..." She says then, "I'm so happy, too...Mommy I didn't poop in the diaper...!" Wow..that's great and then she says, " I pooped on the carpet." Ok as the parent I was thinking great, she didn't poop in her diaper but it was all over the carpet. Potty Abs, Potty Abs! Life couldn't be any better! At least she didn't touch it....AAAAH the little things!

The Big Girl Bed Rocks

Abby loves her bed. She wakes up every morning saying, "I love my bed!" She gets out occasionally but for the most part she stays in the bed surprisingly. I have to tell you though.....I bribe little Abs with band-aids. I know I bribe my daughter but it works sometimes. She loves all those band-aids with Dora on them. Also we have Hello Kitty, they're adorable.

She's getting so sassy. The other night she was in time-out 6 times. Like a 2 year old break-down..is this possible? And yesterday her teachers told me they asked her to sit and she said, "No--I don't want to sit." Uh Oh...Time-Out again. Should I bribe her to be good at school? Any suggestions? I know bribing my 2 year old is not a great thing..but it works! And you know, the hugs and the love are the best...but the 'NO's" have to stop. She makes me laugh and everyday there's a new adventure we stumble upon. I love looking through her eyes at things we use everyday. We were in an elevator the otherday--something we've used so much through our life--she just loved this thing called an elevator.

Uh Oh! Big Girl Bed

Abby started climbing out of her crib...So that means big girl bed. She kept climbing out and bumping her head...crazy monkey. And she would get out in the middle of the night and come over to and knock on my shoulder.."Mommy I want to play...Mommy I'm up and ready to go." So it was time for the big girl bed. It seems like she loves it. She sleeps with her bear and dolly under each arm. She's precious.

And her new favorite thing to do is put our dog in time-out. And T--the dog--just sits in the corner in time-out until Abs says, "ok you can get out." Funny Funny little monkeys.

Abby met a Preying Mantis for the first time the other day...We named him Howie. She loved it. It was on our car before we left from our house all the way to the grocery store...still holding on....and all the way home from the grocery store. And it was sortof following Abby around. Cute, I think they're good luck! Thank you Howie...he helped her smile all day!
