Abby Becomes A Bumble Bee

Abby is in the Bumble Bee class now in her school. She's having some issues with leaving her younger friends in the Caterpillar Class. I try to tell her, her Bumble Bee class is for big girls and boys and I think she just want to go back to the other class and play.

In the Bumble Bee class it's a pre-school class...they learn and it's amazing. She comes home with dittos (remember them from school) all colored in with letters. It's awesome. They do a fabulous job in that class with all the kids.

Good News..she has the potty thing down. She's doing great, even poopies. Yea Abby! After a poops she gets a band-aid and a sticker...that's exciting for her!

Spicy Abby

She's three.......Abby's so spicy. She is so good with older people..like her grandparents. BUT when Abs gets with friends or playdates with dogs...all hell breaks loose. It's actually pretty funny how she turns into a totally different child when her friends are around. She just goes crazy.

But here's what I think..we as Mom's want our children to be good and that just doesn't happen all the time. This is my conclusion--If your child is running around and smiling and laughing...she's ok. Ok maybe I'm just trying to make myself feel better.

We had a playdate with one of my girlfriends and her kids and she has these sweet little dogs and Abby was all over them poking at them and she just wouldn't leave them alone. I called my girlfriend and appologized. Our dog "T" is a saint to put up with Abs. Maybe Abby needs a brother or sister. She has tea parties with "T" and dresses her up.......life is fun!

Words To Live By

Adorable.....

HOW DO YOU DECIDE WHO TO MARRY?
-You got to find somebody who likes the same stuff. Like, if you like sports, she should like it that you like sports, and she should keep the chips and dip coming.
-- Alan, age 10
-No person really decides before they grow up who they're going to marry. God decides it all way before, and you get to find out later who you're stuck with.
-- Kristen, age 10

2. WHAT IS THE RIGHT AGE TO GET MARRIED?
Twenty-three is the best age because you know the person FOREVER by then.
-- Camille, age 10

3. HOW CAN A STRANGER TELL IF TWO PEOPLE ARE MARRIED?
You might have to guess, based on whether they seem to be yelling at the same kids.
-- Derrick, age 8

4. WHAT DO YOU THINK YOUR MOM AND DAD HAVE IN COMMON?
Both don't want any more kids.
-- Lori, age 8

5. WHAT DO MOST PEOPLE DO ON A DATE?
-Dates are for having fun, and people should use them to get to know each other. Even boys have something to say if you listen long enough.
-- Lynnette, age 8 (isn't she a treasure)
-On the first date, they just tell each other lies and that usually gets them interested enough to go for a second date.
-- Martin, age 10

6. WHEN IS IT OKAY TO KISS SOMEONE?
-When they're rich.
-- Pam, age 7
-The law says you have to be eighteen, so I wouldn't want to mess with that.
- - Curt, age 7
-The rule goes like this: If you kiss someone, then you should marry them and have kids with them. It's the right thing to do.
- - Howard, age 8

7. IS IT BETTER TO BE SINGLE OR MARRIED?
It's better for girls to be single but not for boys. Boys need someone to clean up after them. -- Anita, age 9 (bless you child, Oh so... true)

8. HOW WOULD THE WORLD BE DIFFERENT IF PEOPLE DIDN'T GET MARRIED?
There sure would be a lot of kids to explain, wouldn't there?
-- Kelvin, age 8

And the #1 Favorite is .........
9. HOW WOULD YOU MAKE A MARRIAGE WORK?
Tell your wife that she looks pretty, even if she looks like a dump truck . -- Ricky, age 10

Abby's Birthday

Cousin Simon with Abby

Abs is the Big 3 ! Her birthday celebration was fantastic. We went to Disney on Ice. I couldn't believe she sat through the whole thing and only asked to go to the potty twice throughout the show---that's unbelievable.

In her school...there are bugs in each one of her classes. First she was a cuddle bug, then a caterpillar and now she's a big girl bumble bee. So funny! It's the 3 year old class. It's amazing when I walk into that class room. The kids are so different than the 2 year olds. They're actually in different play stations in 4 or 5 groups and so quiet. No sugar in that class I guess.

Her birthday was Sunday and she took a nap around 2:00 in the afternoon and when she woke up, all of a sudden, she was talking in complete sentences, saying please and thank you and speaking like a 12 year old. What's that about, in a couple of hours of turning 3 she's a wizard of speaking....(ok let's not go too far Sue)

Moms...you told me 3 years ago...Enjoy it now because it goes so fast. I can't believe how time has flown by. It is like I blinked and she's going potty. It's Unbelievable. Can I just say one thing? "prunes are a fabulous fruit thingy." When is she going to figure it out it's not chocolate.
