R.I.P. Cutie Pie

So in our back yard there's a nest of baby birds.

Everyday Abby talks to them to make sure they're still there and their Momma is around! But bad news the other night we got Abby her first fish, a beta fish. Cutie Pie was his name and less than 24 hours..yep you guessed it. He somehow flipped out of his bowl onto the carpet.

Needless to say, we had a mini funeral for him as we flushed him down the toilet. We all said a little something about this new fish we only knew for about 12 hours and then Twinkle Twinkle Little Star as he went down! We have a new fish now, a blue beta, Cutie Pie 2 and he's made it so far 48 hours! Geeze thank goodness for that! Yeh Cutie Pie 2. If you're new to the Mommy Blog, welcome!

Abby Cam is basically my 4 year old daughter walking around with the flip camera or sometimes in a hat on her head checking things out and talking and playing and just being a happy 4 year old. Hope you enjoy!

Six Flags Weekend

It was a Six Flags Great Day!

This past weekend we went to Six Flags Great Adventure! What a great time we had! Abby's at that perfect age where she loves "The Wiggles" and she loves the bigger rides, too! We always start our day when we visit Six Flags on the Sky Ride ( and secretly we hope it stops at the top because it's Daddy's worst fear...but it didn't) No worries!

It doesn't matter the age of your kids everyone will have fun. From the little kiddie rides which are fun for the parents too....to the big jungle gym area next to the tigers...to the water area for kids. By the way that place is fabulous for kids to just freshen up but take it from me take your little ones bathing suit, they'll get wet! Yep you guessed it Abby didn't have hers. It was a warm day so she dried quickly! But soaked!

We had so much fun on the Jolly Roger...Abs wanted to go on that 3 times. And Canyon Rapids...wow we were soaked but she loved that one too! It was just such a fun family day! She's at that perfect age where she can almost go on the big rides but still loves the little rides! Lots of smiles, great food, cotton candy, too and a great nights sleep for Abby! It zonked her out!

Every year Six Flags gets better and better...Big Six was there but we were in search of Little Six...! I started the blog out by saying a Six Flags Day because all the ride workers say when you get off the ride, " Have a Six Flags Day!" And we did! Great times!

Throw-up Nightmare

Yep it happened this weekend! I started to do what my Mom always did for me and my brother: The throw-up basin. Abby had a stomach virus and yep there's an official Abby basin. Growing up I was always thinking, why is Mom always giving me this big green thing...now I know. The basin works! Thanks Mom you're the best!

T-ball is new at our house. Abby's cousin is on a T-ball team and now that's all she wants to play. But instead of a T we have a big orange cone that is used in construction that we see on the side of the road. No Momma did not steal a cone; my husband has them at his work. That's our T and it works great. Parents if you break your T or if you're wondering what to use....a big orange cone works just fine.

Bubbles!

It sure feels like Summer already here at the Jersey Shore; hope you're enjoying some relaxation and fun with your family! I know it's a crazy time! Is it crazier when the kids are off from school for summer break or is it crazier during the school year? It's just a crazy time all the time! Except when their sleeping and that can even be crazy for Abs who gets up about 10 times a night just to make sure we're still sleeping or she says to us, "Do you want to have a tea party" or she'll say, "Can I paint my nails?"...it's midnight at this point!

4 is such a cool age--she's smoochy and into hugs, she loves talking on the phone and loves to smell flowers! If only adults could live in a child's body for one day and just remember what it's like...the world would be a beautiful place every single day with lots of tantrums though. Ok maybe not! Who doesn't have a tantrum throughout the day..! Happy Summer to you!
